Hi there... i have a little theoretics question.

I have a DCE/DTE cable connecting two 2600 Cisco routers. In the router with the DCE termination i have configured a clock rate of 500000. In theory, what is the available bandwith for this serial link ?

a) 500 Kbps
b) other ?

I know this may seem a little bit strange (and stupid) for all you guys out there that have different problems from me, but i'm doing this research project in QoS and the answer to this question would be of great help!

thank you all in advance !

Hi, if you have set the clock rate to 500k then thats what you have as a bandwidth, it is worth noting that you would also have to use the bandwith command on the interface if you require the correct stats to be displayed on SH INT ??

Tanx my friend.. It really helped me out !
