I have a situation where a RS 232 - DB9 connection converts to a DB25. A few of the wires on the DB9 connection were broken. I have been looking at the config of the 25pin to do the conversion on teh DB9 side, but nothing I do works. The rs 232 mini testetr just does not show green for RX and TX.

Is there any hel I can get? Wasn't sure if this was the correct form either.

Thee 9 pin connects to a computer then runs across the building to another room and connects DB25 to a port on a digiboard octopus.

Conversions within the straight thru 25/9 are
1 to 8
2 to 3
3 to 2
4 to 20
5 to 7
6 to 6
7 to 4
8 to 5
9 to 22

Using a terminal emulator to connect to Unix? On a 25 to 25 connection you normally cross 6&20 and 4&5. 6/20 are DTR and the 4/5 are RTS/CTS.
