Hi there!

Could anyone tell me what's all about with those "stop bits" in a serial communication? What do they do?

Thanks!

Transmitter transmits solid flow of bits to reciever. Stop bits are using for split this flow into bytes. Stop bit means the end of one byte and the beginning of another one.

You should stop the data listener or the data sender. There is no way to block the port. John Fill
