Sequence of events

Hello again,
I have 3 tasks to accomlish in our production environment. One is to upgrade
Framework and Distributed Monitoring. The second is to install 2 Sun systems
as endpoint gateways. The third is to convert 36 managed nodes to endpoints.

My question is: should I do the software upgrades first, then install the gateways and finally convert the MNs? Or should I install the gateways under the existing version of FW and DM, convert the MNs, then upgrade FW and DM across the board? Seems six one way, half a dozen the other. Any advice?

First upgrade to new version, then install gateways and then convert to MN's to EP's...

I posed this question to Tivoli support. Their response was to install the gateways first, upgrade all systems, then create Endpoints while leaving the same systems as MNs. Once the EPs check out okay, then delete the MNs.
