How could i generate in a report Serial Number

column 1 column 2 column 3
1 record1 record1
2 record2 record2
3 record3 record3

Column 1 is automatically generated and incremented based on the number of records displayed from the table

You can do this with a report variable.

1. In the report designer, go to the Report menu, and select Report Variable.

2. In the resulting dialogue, click Add. Enter a name for the variable.

3. Set the initial value to 1 and the calculation type to Count.

4. Once you've done that, add a field to the report in the usual way. Set its expression to the name of the variable.
