Seperate Network for Backup.

Greetings everyone,

I am looking into the option of buying a 24-port gigabit switch so I can have all of the servers I need to backup on its own network and direct only backup-traffic on this switch. Can I setup Veritas so that Windows and Linux servers know to use a certain nic/eth connection for veritas only and the primary nic/eth connection for user data transmission?

Yes, at least for windows. Search the Symantec support for "multiple nic" and there are 100 docs returned. One of them should fit your scenario.
