separation setup

Hi!
I'm an Illustrator begginer, I have been working with Freehand (Macromedia) always...
I've been playing traying to adjust the bounding box. It works with the crops marks (but doesn´t change the grey rectangle) So I wanted to do it with the FILE<Separation Setup as is explained on the Help Menu but it appears in grey so I can´t select it...
Do you know hot to activate it?

Irma:

You need to install a postscript printer to be able to make separations. There's a postscript (ppd) driver included with Illustrator (do a search), install that as a dummy printer, it should work...
