SEO Question - Backlinks

Hi,

I have a website which I know users have bookmarked a number of links to various areas.

Now I need to change the domain name, but need to switch the backlinks to the new domain and the bookmarked area. For example;

OLD :

http://www.test.com/article_1233.aspx

(bookmarked)

When a user selects this, automatically go to:

NEW :

http://www.newdomain.com/article_1233.aspx

Your problem is that you don't have control of the links that others have added to their sites.

What you will need to do is execute a 303 redirect. However that requires that you either
a. Still have some control of the old domain, then set up a redirect.
or
b. The people who now have it will add a 303 redirect from their site to yours when someone requests the url for one of your pages.

SO.. No easy answer.
