Sentry911 and 8440 Spec phone Mac address

Putting in Sentry 911 soulution, CM 7.1

We have a mixture of IPhones with ixworkplace, Androids wtih ix workplace, 8440 Spec phones

Have modified the 46xx setting to SET ENABLE_PUBLISH_MAC_ADDRESS 1.

Im being told that the Iphones do not support this funtion, but Androids and Spec phones do.
I see in the logs that the android does get the setting file-but still dosnot work.
The 8440 does not as well-

1. Im not sure how to push a 46xxsettings file to the 8440s-or if its even needed
2. Caint firgure out why the androids are not publishing the mac

we never see the MAC in the SM resgistration. Mac randomization is turned off on the devices

Any input/help is appreciated

A Spectralink 8440 will definitely not read an Avaya 46xxsettings.txt file.
