Sent messages timeout on recipient's server

All of a sudden, mails going to two domains in Hong Kong that used to reach their destinations without incident are now bouncing back with timeout errors. Our current mail is hosted with Ardent/CAIS. When I send the same messages via AOL, they are delivered without problems. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is this on my server side, the mail host side, or the recipient's side? We are definitely not being spam blocked by the recipients. And we aren't having problems with any other emails. Also, we can receive mails from these domains, but we can't seem to send.

Any theories?
