sent items not including recipient name

Hi

I have one user with a strange infrequent problem. THey are using outlook 2003. Some items in the sent items to not include the details of who it was sent to. I have narrwoed this down to happen when they copy and paste and address into a new email, or when a link from a word document to an email is selected. However, this does not happen all the time. It is not a distribution list that the email is being sent to and they are not being bcc'd
has anyone got any ideas?
The user is using word 97 (i know!) so i am wondering whether the quirk lies there even though word is not being used as the email editor?
