Hello

having trouble understanding how the sensor works for the HiPath 3550.

I have an STRB card connected to the CBCC motherboard.

In Manager E the sensor is programmmed to call distribution, a normal extension.

But how do i trigger the sensor, to test this works? I have no sensor equipment to connect, I was wondering if I could short out some ports, to trigger the call distribution?

kind regards

It will only trigger when the power goes down.

I just want to call an ACd group, once an external equipment, triggers the sensor port.

I just wanted to test it, because i do not have the external equipment yet, and wondered if i couldnt just short out the 12v with the optocouplet.

So I get it right, when the contact closes it need to ring a extension or a group?

Then you can just use a 600 Ohm resistor parallel to an analog port. Make the analog port a Hotline so when it closes it will dial that number.

Yes I want to call an extension, but also use the feature of sending af text message with the dialing. This can be done with the sensor.

So you would use an anlog port, and not use the sensor card?

What you mean is, if the power goes down from 12V on the Sensor port, to I.E 1V then it should trigger the dialing of the extension or??

A funny thingm, is that I dont measure 12V on the sensor port, I only measure about 9,5V ??

Could i use a 600ohm resistor on the sensor port and make it work?

kind regards
