I want to upload my cgi scripts on a webserver to this site
for instance: "but I don't know where the perl interpreter is in the web server so i don't know what to write on the shebang line("#!/usr/lib/perl") does my ISP has to provide this service?, must it? or do I have to pay and special service to cgi scripts?

can I upload the perl interpreter to one folder on my site and it will work?

2.

I also want to send a e-mail from this site, but in this case seems to me that a need something called "sendmail" that should be in the webserver too. At least that was what I read from my book ("/usr/lib/sendmail").

but I am running this scripts on a PC computer so I do not have this program, script or whatever it is. In this case what can I do to test my e-mail sender.
If there'are or there's a better way to send and e-mail could someone show me an script? please.

call your isp and ask them if they allow cgi scripts to be run and if so, what directory do you have to put them in so that they will run. then ask them if they use sendmail, and if so, what is the location of it. then you should have all the answers to your questions. adam@aauser.com

Download and install linux ( It will come with sendmail and apache. Then, you can test all of your scripts on your own PC like your book shows you. To find out where these things are on your remote webserver, you'll have to ask your provider.
