I am using Access 2003. When using SendObject to email a spreadsheet the spreadsheet is saved in excel 95 format and the new smart phones using DocumentToGo can not read the format. How doI have the SendObject save the spreadsheet in 98-2003 format?

Try using acFormatXLSX for OutputFormat as opposed to acFormatXLS that you are probably using.

If the OP is using Access 2003, it will have NO CONCEPT of XLSX as that is an Access 2007/2010 format.

I don't belive you can change that code to save to a different version. You would need to go use a different method of programming to be able to determine the type.

So you would need to use Excel COM programming to start with so you can open up a new instance of Excel and then send the table/query to Excel, save it, close it and then send it using some email programming. Which email client are you using?

Also, go here:

to get a function which will export a table/query to Excel for you in the current format you have loaded on your machine.

Sorry - you are correct. It doesn't answer the question of 98-2003 format that was asked.
