aix/perts,

i have two network connections: one going to a private network which we belong thru adsl and one heading to the Internet through eadsl.

i'm trying to configure my aix box in such a way i can send mail within our network and "outside" world -the internet. but unfortunatly i am having problem doing so.

here's what i've got:

1.)connection one (to our private network):
Gateway: 180.17.61.254

2.) to the Internet
Gateway: 180.17.61.1

3.)my aix box
ip address: 180.17.61.7
nameserver
domain

4.) i check /etc/sendmail.cf and even tried chaging DS & DR but to no avail.

5.) im receiving unknown hosts error. and sometimes taking to much time without any response

are there any other things i forgot to consider?

i am gettin this one:

ping <hostname>
0821-062 ping: hosts name <hostname> NOT FOUND

is there a possibility that my DNS server setup is not working

Could be. Try an nslookup on one of your other server names. Have a look in /etc/resolv.conf and make sure you can still connect to whatever is in there.
