i am running mandrake 8.1 and trying to set up a mail server using send mail the i can send mail from my linux box but can't recieve mail and can't send or recieve mail from other computer i have checked my dns and that is all right but know i have know clue what to do. if anyone would have and tip for me that would help me out alot,

We realy need more info here.

What is the "other computer"- a Win98 machine on the local lan? You want it to pop or imap mail from the Mandrake box and use its SMTP server to send out?

Now on Mandrake- you can send mail, so that's good. How are you supposed to be able to receive? Are you supposed to use pop in which case you need fetchmail) or is this box what the MX record for your domain points at?
