I am using SendMail:, however IE throws up variuos dialogue boxes - you are passing your identity etc, wheras Firefox opens up my Outlook Express for me to send the email.

Is there a silent method. Can I not pass it into my Hosted site?. I do not have SQL or any database there, but is there a way to do it. Ideally silent. Many thanks

If you ISP runs IIS then you can probably use CDO. Have a look at :

You can then email straight from a Form on the page, and avoid worrying about the client's email client entirely

Not if you are using the mailto: protocol in an href. This is something that is controlled by each individual browser and you cannot change it.

If you have the ability to run the solution server-side (as mentioned above) then I reckon you should pursue that line... since it (almost always) ends up being a form that you submit using a web browser you can find a solution for (pretty much) any server-side environment.

Cheers,
Jeff
