sendmail suddenly stopped working

suddenly out of no where, I am getting this:

WARNING: RunAsUser for MSP ignored, check group ids (egid=501, want=25)
can not chdir(/var/spool/clientmqueue/): Permission denied
Program mode requires special privileges, e.g., root or TrustedUser.

Any ideas on why, and how I can fix this?
