Sendmail Solaris 8

Hi,

I am retiring some NCR srv4 machines and moving to Soloaris 8 on sun boxed.
I have the boxes up and running. On my srv4 I can direct mail my outlook mail with mail -F myname@domian.com . I cannot find a similiar command in on the Sun box. Any help would be appriciated.

direct mail? how do you mean? outlook mail?

sendmail works fine, mail works fine ... i take it you want to set the 'from' for your user?

the default 'from' name field is the line in /etc/passwd that has your name in it (the 5th element) ... and it sets your email address to be <your username>@<server address> (gained from computer name and qualified domain name, unless it's overridden in your sendmail.cf)
