I am just having a problem with my sendmail and maybe someone could help me ;-))
My ISP it’s tvtel.pt … and when I try to send any mail to xxxx@tvtel.pt … using mail … php mail … etc it doesn’t arrives to the destin. Any other class of mail address like … xxx@sapo.pt
or other one it works fine. I think I have to configure something on sendmail, I have read lots of documentation and nothing …

I hope someone could help me.

You may have to talk to your isp about this. If you look at the header of an e-mail you sent, you will see that it uses your machine name (hostname)in your return address e.g. user@hostname.tvtel.pt. Some servers are setup to strip the sub-domain part off and leave just the main domain. This would cause the server to think it was looping mail back to itself. In some cases you would get an error but it is more than likely that a loopback error would be sent to the postmaster of your isp. I am assuming it ONLY happens when you send mail to your isp account AND that you don't have your own domain name.
