Hi. I'm using sendmail that was included in the (SCO) RS506a maintenance pack. I am trying configure sendmail to authenticate to an IPS's SMTP server but I cannot find were username and password information is entered. The SMTP server is already configured as a smarthost however all attempts to relay mail are being denied. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I figured this out. I didn't need to authenticate with their SMTP server. It worked after i made my machine's host/domain name look as if it was part of the ISP's domain.
