Sendmail takes a few seconds just to send a short email to myself. If I attach a 2 meg file, it takes almost 10 minutes.
When I receive the 2 meg email, it comes through in less than 10 seconds.
What could be causing sendmail to run so slow? I'm sure it's not a DNS issue because then every email would take a long time regardless of size. This is definitely size related.
I'm using Outlook on the client side. Dovecot is my pop3 server.
The server runs Fedora Core 6, sendmail is 8.14.1.
