As an introduction to this question I'd first like
to indicate that I'm a newbie to the server world
and as such I'm pretty much a rookie. I just signed-up
for a new "dedicated server" to run my website and
I'm having some setup problems which are probably
fairly elementary for an experience server administrator
but for me it's monumental. Ok, with that being said
here is my current problem I'd like some help on:

Problem: My php "mail()" function is not working.
Without this service working my gateway which sends
out a digital "software key" via email will not work.
When this server was initially set-up I assumed the "mail()"
delivery service would function automatically but
apparently not. Please help me get started where or what
I need to do to set-up the "Sendmail" delivery system
from my server. In my "Control Panel" I only see items
to set-up the normal email accounts and nothing dedicated
to setting up "php" or other software functions. I also
assume there may be some changes I need to make to my
"php.ini" file but I have no idea what it needs. I've
also learned many times over that if you don't know what
your doing don't touch, you need to ask first and modify
second.

Therefore this is my equivalent of "asking first", so any
help will be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!

you might want to actually post on a site that actually deals with Redhat/linux, I highly doubt you will get much help from this forum.
