sendmail relay - handling returned mail

I have Sendmail running as a relay for an internal email server. It processes all outgoing mail and works just fine. Problem is when I get a returned mail, it stays on the relay server and the user is never notified. Is there any way Sendmail can be configured to forward returned emails back to the originating server ? The internal email server is set to accept relaying from the Sendmail server.

Relay Server:
Fedora 8
Sendmail 8.14.2
Spamassassin 3.2.4
Sendmail-Milter-0.18
