I use the Sendmail version that comes with RH8.0 and have my MX records (1.2.3.4 / my.domain.com)pointing to this box configured it to receive and send mail via the virtuser for the subdomains (a1.mydomain.com --> MX points to 1.2.3.4). I can sendmail from the subdomain but cannot receive mail for users on the subdomain lan... how can i fix this so mail can be sent in out?

big up.. thanks..

Assuming you have all your local domains in your cw file, you need to let sendmail know what to do with mail that comes through it. This is done by editing /etc/mail/access. You should see some lines that look like:

localhost.localdomain RELAY

you need to add your other domains to this list then use either RELAY, REJECT or ACCEPT. When you are finished, you need to create access.db with the following command:

makemap hash /etc/mail/access.db < /etc/mail/access
