Hi all,
This is my first post on this forum, and I was wondering if you could help me out.
We run 4 sendmail boxes, two doing outgoing SMTP and two doing MX handling. One of the outgoing SMTP boxes doesn't display any information when 'ps ax' is typed. This box is running sendmail 8.12.8
PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND
27107 ? S 0:00 [sendmail]
27130 ? S 0:00 [sendmail]
27140 ? S 0:00 [sendmail]
This is what the other boxes look like (running an older version, 8.11.6):
PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND
28255 ? S 0:00 sendmail: ./h910d8x28255 agent0.ientrymail.com.: client greeting
28270 ? S 0:00 sendmail: server [61.11.48.112] child wait
28277 ? S 0:00 sendmail: server 10.postnote.com [69.6.27.20] cmd read
28287 ? S 0:00 sendmail: server n.ew01.com [69.6.0.23] cmd read
Is this a simple configuration option, or will sendmail require recompiling or something like that? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
