Hi all

I have a problem with sendmail over linux red hat 7.1, I am able to send messages to the LAN and to the Internet, but I am not able to receive messages from the internet (I am able to receive messages from the LAN).
I have configurated the DNS server. Anybody has any suggestions?

Thanks in advance and best regards

Edit this line in /etc/mail/sendmail.mc:

DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')

and put you internet ip address there or comment out or delete the line. This is telling sendmail to only look at the loopback (localhost) for mail. Once you,ve done that, you will need to runn the following command:

m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc > /etc/sendmail.cf

This rebuilds sendmail.cf. Don't forget to restart sendmail so it reads the new configs.
