sendmail masquerade

Hello Guys,
Reports are being send to our external customers from a application id. The from address is something like xxx@user1.hostname.company.com. , the problem is that the customer mail server dose a reverse lookup and since from address has user1.hostname.company.com the mail delivery fails. How do i change it from user1.hostname.company.com. to newcompany.com. i want to know what needs to be changed i /etc/mail/sendmail.cf.

Please help asap.

Add this to your sendmail.mc, rebuild using m4, and restart Sendmail.

MASQUERADE_AS(`[b]newcompany.com[/b]')dnl

FEATURE(`masquerade_envelope')dnl

I've also gotten around this by changing the DM option in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf and restarting sendmail.
