Hi all,

I need to know a way with sendmail to masquerade just the envelope (return-path). Our Mailserver validates this adress, but some scripts use the From-Header and need to know the machine where the mail comes from.

Does anyone know how to configure this?
Or ist there at least a possiblity to set a realname in the genericstable?

Thank you for your help

1) Add this to your sendmail.mc

define(`confCW_FILE', `-o /etc/mail/local-host-names')dnl
FEATURE(masquerade_envelope)dnl

2) Rebuild the file

% m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc > /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

3) Create a file called /etc/mail/local-host-names and add the domain names you want to masquerade there.
