Hello,

one of our solaris9 servers has a whole lot of unsent emails sitting in /var/spool/mqueue, but when I run mailq it comes back with nothing. Is there a way I can force these emails to be sent to me?

run 'sendmail -q'

Best Regards, Franz

Hello,

I have tried running sendmail -q and it runs away in the background but does not clear out /var/spool/mqueue.

there must be another problem! check /var/adm/mail.log (depending on where syslog logs the mail.* events) for more information (does your MX accept mails from this host etc)

Best Regards, Franz
