Hello all,
I am a bit confused on my problem but here it goes.
I have been using sendmail as the production email server for several years, originally it was just one domain (domain1.com) then i added support to accept many domains (domain2.com etc.). All users have a milbox on sendmail.
I have set up a Exchange box from user requests.
I need to forward all mail to exchange from sendmail.
Now comes the problem, i have modified the following files to forward the mail.
Access - removed all domains
local-host-names - removed all domiains
maillertable - added to forward all domains (domainX.com esmtp:[xx.xx.xx.xx]
hosts - removed the domains
All domains (domain2.com) but the original (domain2.com) forward fine, the original domain contiues to deliver mail to the local sendmail user box. If i delete the mailbox it bounces the mail.
As far as i can tell i find no other reference to the original domain and it should be forwarded via the mailertable to exchange based on IP.
Can anyone point me to why the original continues to deliver locally while the other forward to exchange.
thanks,
