I'm running Sendmail for NT on a very small network (maybe 50-75 emails a day), but a couple times a days a get messages like:
NOQUEUE: Null connection from [...] or
NOQUEUE: lost input channel from [...] or
gethostbyaddr(...) failed: 11002

and the message doesn't go through or takes a long time.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Don Myers

Those sound like generic Sendmail errors that occur as the result of the box not being able to connect or losing a connection in transmit. The last message, gethostbyaddr(...) failed: 11002, sounds like when it can't lookup the domain on the internet. In other words if you are sending a mail messege from your box to a domain say, tek-tips.com, the box isn't finding the domain name by the hostname. If the message still goes through it is because it was able to by IP address of that domain. I'd have to look at the whole messege to be sure. Are these "emails" that you are sending going to a confirmed location? Matt
