Sendmail error message.

If I view my maillog file I noticed a lot of these messages. Does anyone know what this means. I can't seem to find anything on Google about it.


Jan 27 08:51:20 server1 sendmail[28798]: gethostbyaddr(172.X.X.X) failed: 1
