sendmail error dbm map "Alias0": missing map file /etc/aliases

I ran sendmail -bi and receive the following error when trying to use sendmail function on my 4.3 system:

my.name@caraustar.com... caraustar.com: Name server timeout
my.name@caraustar.com... Transient parse error -- message queued for futur
e delivery
my.name@caraustar.com... queued

Can anyone help me out? (my.name section has my address in the actual error message)
