anyone know how to resolve these errors?

sendmail was working just fine the day before now it's erroring on me.

Starting sendmail: 451 4.0.0 /etc/sendmail.cf: line 85: fileclass: cannot open '/etc/mail/local-host-names': World writable directory
451 4.0.0 /etc/sendmail.cf: line 510: fileclass: cannot open '/etc/mail/trusted-users': Wrold writeable directory

as far as i know nothing change and nothing noticeable in the logs.

I have removed the rpm's reinstalled and still get the errors. I even wiped the /etc/mail dir before rpm -i

sendmail version 8.11.6-3
redhat 7.2

Thanks for any input

edit etc/mail/sendmail.mc and make sure it is correct for your set up. Then run m4 to create a new version of sendmail.cf then restart sendmail.

Try this one, which will set the permissions for every directory sendmail needs to be non-group writable:

sudo chmod go-w / /etc /etc/mail /usr /var /var/spool /var/spool/mqueue /private
