Hi,
I encounter an frequent (sometimes 8 hour delay) from users of an allowed domain. Mail sent at their side will only reach my sendmail a few hours later.
I am using sendmail 8.11 and is wondering if this has to do with the reverse-dns lookup feature? I notice that the allowed domain has not properly set up their reverse lookup.
But if so, why it does get sent out after some delays?
I also notice that there's a 'waiting for banner' message at the allowed domain.
Or is there something missing here?
Does sendmail allow the mail to go thru' if the reverse lookup fail for a specific time??
any inputs appreciated
