Hi,

I'm trying to set up sendmail, but I can't get it to work properly (Solaris 7)
I want to set up my Solaris server to send out an email when something goes wrong
I created a file /root/.forward , containing myname@mydomain.com

I edited /etc/mail/sendmail.cf,
and when triggering something, an email goes out to my mail server, but the 'from' address is
myname@host.mydomain.com

Is there a way to get rid of the 'host' part in 'host'.mydomain.com (in both the from and rcpt field) ?

thanks
