I want to be able to allow the companies i am hosting to pop and send mail through mail.theirdomainname.com rather than popping mail at mail.theirdomainname.com, and sending via the ISP smtp server.
At one point when i was being hosted by a company previously I was able to pop and send mail through mail.mydomain.com and I had no issues with relaying.
If anybody knows the answer, let me know.
Thanks.

Well, I think I know the answer to this one. Within sendmail, you need to have your configuration allow relaying for their domain. After enabling that, you just need to have user accounts on your server for them.

nevermind about the user accounts. I overlooked the fact that they are already receiving mail through your server.

The file to add their domain to is /etc/mail/relay-domains. Just put the names of the hosts which should be relayed.

Thanks for your help, now of course the ultimate question is whether or not i am opening a hole in the security of the system, what are your thoughts on that?
