I'm currently running sendmail on RHEL AS3, I have 1 mail server and 3 smtp servers, currnently I have the 3 smtp servers confugured to send mail to the mail server, now I would like to send mail from the 3 smtp servers through a spam appliance then to the mail server , how do i configure sendmail on the smtp servers to accomplish this??

You want to configure the three smtp servers to use your appliance as a smarthost.

If you're building your config files using m4 you will want to add (or change) the following line in sendmail.mc (located in /etc/mail in RHEL)

define(`SMART_HOST',`your.appliance.hostname')

If you are just tuning the config files by hand (*shudder*) then you'll want to change the 'DS' directive in sendmail.cf (located in /etc on RHEL) i.e.

DSyour.appliance.hostname

You will then, of course, configure the appliance to deliver mail to the final destination server in whatever way the vendor recommends.
