I'm trying to setup sendmail to change the user name from abc@foo.com to customer_service@foo.com. I don't want the recepient to know my original login. I'm doing this so when the recepient relies it will automatically sends the mail to customer_service@foo.com.

The following describes a set of steps that I took to test the changing of outgoing mail addresses at AIX 4.2.
Added line
DMlegis.pa.us.gov
to sendmail.cf after comment
# who I masquerade as (null for no masquerading)
Saved changes
Refreshed sendmail with
refresh -s sendmail
.
Send mail from user lab1 on host tesch.dfw.ibm.com to user test on host aix4prt.dfw.ibm.com
Header of message received was:
From: lab1@legis.pa.us.gov
Mail header still contains:
From lab1@tesch.dfw.ibm.com at start of the message, but reply goes to
lab1@legis.pa.us.gov
