Anyone know the current status of the future of SendKeys()?

I know there were once discussions and problems using SendKeys under Vista and Window 7 (UAC activated), (MS disabling it, then adding a work-a-round which had it's problems), because of security.
Makes sense, but my question is: Is it still an issue (disabling it) to be concerned with in VB6 or WS, or is it not an issue any longer?

I mostly only use it for programatically moving to the next control in the Tab order, and when a form is closed by the user, showing the parent menu point of the sub menu they last selected so they can see where they came from.

I've replaced the SendKeys Tab just by using MapVirtualKey and keybd_event

Sendkeys works as advertised in exe files but gives an eroor 70 in the IDE under Vista and Win 7; see thread222-1591816

Ok, thanks.

I'll continue now with using the keybd_event.

I do not develop on a Vista/W7 machine (yet), and we still have many gov. customers using XP and even W2000 and maybe only 15%-20% using Vista, and never had anyone experience a problem.
