Hi, I'm new to this forum and not sure if this is the proper place for this question. If not, my apologies. Otherwise, here goes...

We currently have a Nortel Norstar phone system, and we have used Nortel Desktop Manager to send audio (wav) files from Windows 7 PC's to mailboxes on the system. We are in the process of upgrading to Windows 7 64-bit PC's, and this Nortel software won't install on the 64-bit machines. Does anyone on this board know of either a way to get this software running on 64-bit PC's, or know of an alternative application that will interface with the Norstar system to let me send wav files into the mailboxes?

Thanks for any help!

I use callpilot desktop messaging version 5.00.41.112 it works on my 64 bit windows 7 pc

Thanks, I read about CallPilot and actually downloaded a version of the client that someone made available online. However when I tried to configure it, it asks for a server IP. From what I can tell, this is referring to the IP of the CallPilot server, that I don't have installed. When I try to use the IP of my Norstar system, it can't communicate with it. Would I need to purchase a full version of CallPilot, or should I be able to use just the client to do what I want to do (just send wav files into mailboxes)?

Would I need to purchase a full version of CallPilot"

There is no so thing as half a version or trial etc.
If you are trying to run Call Pilot software then you need a Call Pilot running.

I was under the impression anything above 3.0 now requires a UM/Desktop key code for each user as well an IP license code on the BCM, Call Pilot 100/150 I am not so sure because I don't know anyone who has attempted this.

Thanks for the clarification on the CallPilot software. I am not familiar with it. I just stumbled on it when researching this problem we're having. As far as the Norstar system having a NIC card, yes, ours has a NIC card in the Applications Module.

Yes, I did try the 32-bit and it didn't work. That was the reason for this thread. But it is nice to actually confirm that I am out of luck. That's what I suspected. Thanks!
