Hi guys,
We are building our autoattendant over the next few weeks. Everything is going fine apart from this one problem which is giving us nightmares.
We want our customers to enter their unique customer number when they dial up. The attendant will then query the database to find their case manager and will transfer them to the appropritate extension. We have created this part fine.
What we now need to do is find a way to pass the data entered by the customer (their reference number) to the phone.
What we need to know is;
A) How do you send a variable to the phone
B) Using TAPI how do you reference the variable once it has reached the phone.
Any help would be much appreiciated, the avaya SDK and IP Office documentation seems to be very thin on this kind of task.
