Not really sure where to start. I am running Solaris 10 (sparc). All I want to do is to forward all outgoing mail (i.e. backup job completions etc...) to an existing enterprise SMTP server. I have been searching and I cannot figure out what steps I need to take to do this. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
cnull

you have to set up the relaying feature of Sendmail

look for the #DSmailer:relayhost

you want DSmail.abc.com

substitute your FQDN of the enterprise machine for mail.abc.com

make sure the SPARC box can resolve mail.abc.com and vice versa

probably will need to allow relaying on the enterprise machine in the access file

sparcbox RELAY
