Hello.
I'm trying to connect to a render farm in the office using the 3d studio backburner.
The backburner works well in me private network and it also works with a VPN.
When submiting a job to the farm the file to be rendered is sended to each node.
My question is: when using a vpn is this file going to be sent several times over the internet?
This would be a terrible bottleneck for me.
Is there some way to optimize this and send the file only once over the internet and then distribute the file to the nodes? Is this called Multicasting?
Can anyone enlighten me about this issue because I really don't understand much about networks.
Thanks
