When I send Outlook mail via Access, I'm getting a popup that says:

"Someone is trying to send mail on your behalf, do you want to allow..."

Obviously, I don't want this popup because this code is to be automated. Can anyone tell me what property or setting of either the Outlook object or the Outlook client where I can turn this off? Thanks,

You can't turn it off. However there are several work arounds that have been discussed within tek-tips. Try a search.

you will get a lot of junk to sift through with your search. Including the terms CDO or 'outlook object model guard' will help cut to the chase.

Hope it helps,

Alex

Thanks, I did a search and there was a lot of sifting, so I'll try to narrow it. But I have a 3rd party email control called Chilkat that is working for now, but I want to use Outlook for the long term.

What I've found on google so far seems to confirm that it was an oversight by MS when they got over-zealous about security, and it seems they simply forgot to put a hook into the ole stuff to get around that new popup.
