Hello

We have a old RS/6000 server with AIX 4.3 installed.
After the daily backup we send a notification message to the user root with the mail command.

Now I would like to send these messages also to my normal mail account (on lotus notes).

Can anyone tell me how I can define specific SMTP server?
When I send such a message the my mail address I never get the message :-(
When I use mailq to see the state of the messages I see that he try to send the messages to a wrong smtp server... But I have no idea where this smtp server is defined...

I hope that somebody can help me

Thanks in advance for any tips

Best regards
Raphael

i think you have to define your notes server as a relay server in /etc/sendmail.cf (assuming you are using sendmail). edit the DS record in this file so it reads DSyour_notes_server (obviously ensure your_notes_server can be resolved). then when you send you mail to you@yourcompany.com, sendmail will relay it on to the notes server.

Note: after modifying /etc/sendmail.cf, be sure to run

refresh -s sendmail

in order for the changed setup to be activated.
