Sending mails with large attachments

I can't send e-mails with large attachments with Eudora 5.2 (light mode), in Windows 2000 Pro.
I didn't have this problem when I used the same versione of Eudora in Windows 98.
The configuration for incoming and sending mail is OK.
Can be a conflict with configuration of Windows?
