Hi all,

We have our mail on a LOTUS domain A. Now, we want connecting the mail internally with another Lotus domain B which is not administered by us. We have made a cross certificate between both domains. Now we would like to send all the mail to the other domain without going to Internet. Is there any place where we can tell Domino that we want to relay all the mail for a determined Internet domain (@xxx.yy) to one Lotus server of the domain B? We don't share the names.nsf.

Thanks for your time!!

Maria

hi !
What u have to do is just to be able to send mail using the Notes Address of users on the domain B. For this u need to get the names.nsf of the other domain. So the solution is to replicate on your own server the names.nsf of the domain B, and to create and "Directory assitance Base" called in french Base d'assistance annuaire perhaps it's not the correct name in englich I am french speaker so ....the template of this Base is da50.ntf if you 're in Notes 5
So Create this base using this template (assist.nsf for example)

Open your Server Document and add the name "assist.nsf" to the reserved filed "Name of the Directory Assitance Base"

The last step is to specify to your Directory Assitance Base its information source (the replicated names.nsf from server B). You'll do this by making "copy as link" of this base (assist.nsf).

Add a directory assistance and specify the name of the Domain B and the Domaine type ...On the Replique Field, paste the link of assist.nsf

After this restart your Domino Server.

Users of domain A, will be able to send mails to users of domain B by selecting them on the directory they will click on Address TO to switch from one Directory to another.

For the users of domain B to be able to send message to users of Domain A do the same think in th eappropriate sense....

Hope this is hopeful !!!!

Or if you want to be really lazy and really quick. Go into your names.nsf on the server and create a Non-Adjacent Domain document to their domain. That way anytime you send an email to

Fred Smith@CompanyB

From your machine the server will know that companyB exists and route the mail internally.
