I have a user who currently has an email account for the company domain on our exchange 2003 server. However he needs to be able to send email to certain clients from a different email address. But this different email address is for a separate domain address that we have just purchased.
For example: Joe@ourmaincompany.com sends mail to customers and colleagues from that address however he also needs to send email to certain customers from Joe@oursubcompanyname.com.
Is there a setting on the exchange server that I need to enable to allow him to do this? Also, is there a straight forward way for him to change which address he is sending from in his Outlook (2003)?
Hope this is clear and I appreciate any response,

Thanks

The only way to do this is to have a separate user & mailbox.

We have a few people that do this and we tend to have Outlook configured for the primary account and make them use Outlook Web Access for the lesser used secondary accounts to reduce confusion.

If the user is good you can grant "Full Mailbox Access" and "Send on Behalf Of" to the primary user account on the newly created second mailbox.

Hope that helps.

Mike
